A strategic and creative firm, embedded inside the businesses we serve.
ABOUT TEND
We're not a vendor waiting on a brief, and we're not an agency running your account from a distance. Tend is a strategic and creative firm built to work from the inside. Strategy comes first, always, because good creative without direction is just noise. Once the strategy's set, we build the systems, content, and presence that carry it out.
That's the difference between a team that executes tasks and a team that's actually embedded in your business. We're the second one.
The gap between output and attention
There's no shortage of marketing help out there. Agencies, freelancers, contractors, platforms that promise to do it all. But most of it is built around output. Deliverables. Volume. Speed.
What gets lost in that model is attention. Real attention to who your audience is, what they care about, and what they actually need to hear from you.
That gap is why Tend exists.
WHY WE EXIST
HOW WE THINK ABOUT AUDIENCES
Your audience isn't a target
They're people with real problems, real skepticism, and real reasons to pay attention or scroll past.
We believe the best marketing starts with genuine care for the people on the other end of it. Not manipulation. Not pressure. Just clarity, consistency, and the kind of communication that makes someone feel like they're being spoken to, not sold to.
When you care about your audience, the work changes. The messaging gets sharper. The strategy gets more intentional. And the results tend to follow.
WHAT EMBEDDED ACTUALLY MEANS
Inside your business, not outside of it
We're not a vendor you hire for a campaign. We're not an agency you brief once a quarter. We work inside your business, alongside your team, close enough to understand the context that shapes every decision.
That's what embedded means. It means we're invested in the outcome the same way you are. It means the work is built on actual knowledge of your company, not a template applied from the outside.
HOW WE WORK
Small on purpose. Invested by design.
We take on a small number of clients at a time, on purpose. Retainer-based, month to month, with the flexibility to grow as your needs do.
Every engagement starts with understanding — your goals, your audience, your gaps. From there we build the strategy, execute the work, and stay close enough to adjust when things change.
No handoffs. No account managers. Just the work, done with care.
ZACHERY MONTWILL · FOUNDER
"On my mom's side in Lala, Lanao Del Norte, Philippines, my family was built by farmers. My great grandparents wanted to become lawyers. Life had other plans, and they became fish farmers instead, successful ones. But farming wasn't the only thing they tended to. They tended to their family too, through resilience and strength, showing up every day, especially when it was hard.
That's where the name comes from. I build Tend the same way. We don't parachute in and disappear. We stay close, and we tend to the work the way they tended to their farm, the kind of care that actually builds something that lasts."

Why TEND
We believe the best work sits at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and the people it's actually for. Numbers matter. Data matters. But nothing we build starts or ends there. Every industry we work in, art, science, healthcare, tech, whatever comes next, is ultimately about people trying to reach other people. Our job is to make sure that connection actually lands.
That's why we don't believe in one template applied everywhere. The way a healthcare organization builds trust isn't the way a tech platform builds momentum, and the way an artist tells their story isn't the way a scientist earns credibility. We study the difference. We build strategy around it. And we never let the creative get so polished that it forgets there's a person on the other end of it.
Strategy without humanity is just noise with good data behind it. Creativity without strategy is just noise that looks nice. We build the version that's neither, work that's smart enough to work and human enough to matter.
