Some things matter more than the invoice.

Ethics & Values

Ethics & Values

We didn't build Tend to work with whoever could pay the most. We built it to work with people and causes we actually believe in. That choice shows up in who we take on, how we use the tools in front of us, and what we think "success" is actually supposed to mean.

CARE

Mission before margin

We care about mission-driven work because we've seen what it does. Outreach materials that reached over 500 residents meant families getting Alzheimer's information they could actually use. A youth orchestra campaign meant a sold-out crowd on their 65th anniversary. When a mission matters and the budget's tight, we build them a marketing team anyway.

TRUTH

Getting it right

We've stayed up past midnight getting a report right because someone's proposal depended on it. That's what truth means here, not a value on a page, but the discipline of getting it right when it actually matters. We'd rather hand a client a hard truth than a comfortable answer that doesn't hold up.

ROOTS

What lasts

Before there was a business, there was a family of fish farmers who wanted to be lawyers and built something else instead, something that held through hard seasons and good ones. That's what sustainability means to us. Not a launch that looks good for a week. Things built to last.

TRUST

A human behind it

We use AI carefully, never as a replacement for someone who understands your business. We check how AI already represents our clients, because it's happening either way. What we won't do is flood your voice with words nobody actually thought through. If it reaches your audience, a human stood behind it first.
